DORMANT ACCOUNTS FUNDED PROGRAMME ? EMPLOYMENT PLUS PROGRAMME
_One fixed term contract, full-time **Apply on the website** hours per
week. Monday to Sunday roster 8am-8pm. Flexibility to work some
evening & weekends is essential. Based in CRC Community Hubs._
The Programme Facilitator will be responsible for developing and
supporting adults secure employment by identifying opportunities
through their person-centred plan based on New Directions. The
programme Facilitator will also build and support relationships with
employers in creating opportunities for adults seeking work experience
and employment.
REPORTING TO THE PROGRAMME COORDINATOR AND ALSO WORKING WITH THE
TRAINING MANAGER, THE PROGRAMME FACILITATOR WILL;
* Support and build relationships with employers in creating
opportunities for students seeking work experience placements and
employment
* Develop community links for the student as identified through the
students Individual Training Plan and Progression Plans
* Support individuals in their communities when necessary
* Work with the Career Guidance person to identify the
skills/talents/needs of the students and propose appropriate work
experience and employment opportunities
* Accompany students to interviews if required
* Support the student when employment/work placement is secured with
guidance on travel, route planning, social skills and time management
* On the job support for the student when necessary
* Support for the Employer when necessary
* Keep in contact with student and employer over the initial period
of employment
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH ALL RELEVANT NATIONAL
POLICIES AND ALSO HAVE:
* An awareness of New Directions policy, person centred planning,
self-advocacy and personal development
* One year?s relevant experience working as a programme
facilitator or in an Employment/Recruitment role
* A relevant third level qualification, minimum QQI Level 7, in the
area of HR, Social Studies, Adult Education and Community Development
* One year?s experience of working with people with disabilities
* Experience of networking, building and maintaining relationships
* Experience of working within an education/employment setting
* An awareness of Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons/Child Protection
